Village Tavern: Your Destination for Exceptional Steaks and Drinks in Scottsdale

We went for lunch on Saturday, I got the Maryland Crabcake, he got the Gastro pub burger.... omg the food was SO good. The crab cake was packed full of crab, not filler. Flavors were amazing. And there's an espresso chiller drink that is 10/10. The only downside (if there has to be one) is that we are early 40s and were the youngest couple there

Village Tavern has done it once again! They have exceeded my expectations. Jessica, our server, was a welcome beacon of light, always smiling, always happy. My wife, Donna and I, could not have been happier with the way we were treated. From the hostess/manager who seated us with charm and hospitality, through Jessica, ever-present but only when deemed appropriate, all the way around, ending with the manager making sure we were fully satisfied, this was a Saturday luncheon par excellence we will not soon forget! Our privacy completely respected, yet our server, Jessica, just seemed to be there the moment we required her presence. Her attentiveness and friendliness were beyond compare! We highly recommend this restaurant as it is OFF THE HOOK!

We had an amazing experience at Village Tavern! We started with the roasted cauliflower, which was absolutely heavenly — perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The veggie burger was fresh, tasty, and one of the best we’ve had in a while. The fries were crisp and delicious too! A special shoutout to our waitress Emily, who was incredibly sweet, attentive, and made the experience even better. Great place, great food, and wonderful service all around. We loved it so much we ended up leaving an 80% tip — they truly earned it! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for quality food and genuine hospitality.

4.5 star experience, but rounding up for delicious food! Staff at check-in were friendly & welcoming. The restaurant was very busy, with lively ambiance. I ordered filet mignon, which was so tender that I cut it with a butter knife. Service by server Shawn K was efficient, but not very personable. I would definitely return for another delicious steak.

Meals were excellent. The seat level of the booth was a little higher than optimal but they didn't all look that way. The place was quite busy so our server seemed a little rushed but took care of us well. I would recommend it and would return.

Upon arrival, the atmosphere was inviting, and while the hostess could have been a bit warmer, our server truly shone. I was initially impressed when she took our orders without writing anything down, and she flawlessly remembered everything! My friends raved about their meals, and I was eager to share my experience as well: Clam Chowder**: While I found it a bit rich and thick for my taste, the flavor was delightful, especially with a dash of Tabasco. Fish and Chips**: The fries were tasty, but the fish could use a little enhancement to reach its full potential. The standout of the evening was undoubtedly our server, who provided exceptional service throughout our meal. Overall, my friends and I had a fantastic time, and I’m giving Village Tavern 4 stars, primarily for the outstanding service!

Our server, Art, blew us all away with his knowledge of the menu, the restaurant's history, and, in particular, his awesome familiarity with Oregon wines! He was compassionate, empathetic, and sympathetic (as I witnessed the delicate and thoughtful way he assisted a physically challenged gentleman in a nearby booth). Additionally, he treated us with patience and tolerance, affording us ample opportunity to delve into the vast menu. He was always polite and soft-spoken. Art was attentive without being intrusive. Art ensured that we thoroughly savored our elegant dining experience. That is to say nothing about the food and beverages portion of the evening. Art was so completely and totally engaging, that we almost forgot we were hungry and thirsty. My wife said her halibut was prepared the best she has ever tasted, not to mention that the fish itself was absolutely beyond compare. I myself reveled in the Blackened Chicken Alfredo; and, the balance and freshness of the spices was perfect. Our house guest and my daughter's soulmate, visiting from Japan, adored her Mediterranean Bowl. All three dishes were beautifully presented. The lovely evening was topped off with key lime pie, my absolute favorite, especially when made from scratch, accompanied by Dreyer's Vanilla Ice Cream. Finally, my wife and our beloved friend shared your scrumptious carrot cake!

We enjoy our visits to Village Tavern and it is our favorite restaurant in Scottsdale. We usually arrive with 6-12 people in our party. The atmosphere, service, food and location are the reasons we frequent this establishment. We usually order the spinach salad and it is so delicious. The dishes are presented beautifully, the seating is comfortable and the parking is easy. Stormy, our incredible server, was welcoming, kind, humorous, friendly, efficient, positive, professional and attentive. She treated us so well throughout. We will continue to be loyal customers because our dining experiences are always excellent.
